We asked why were people so devoted to martyrs in general. Devotion to martyrs was defintely a big theme because they were so serious about it and they were very commited also.  I choose the relics of them to show how devoted they really were. Its a twisted thing because they themselves were devoted to matyrs but they had people that were devoted to them because they were famous matyrs. The other photograph is an altar where they think they were killed, they were so devoted they died on the altar. Also that was a slow and painful death if they were thrown to the lions. But thats part of the hype is people want to watch the matyrs die so they are truly devoted.
